M53 highway (Russia)

The R255 Sibir ( "Siberia" ) is a Russian highway in Siberia. It runs from Novosibirsk east across Krasnoyarsk to Irkutsk and is 1831 km long. The R255 is in addition to the lines M5 Ural, Irtysh R254, R258 Baikal, Amur R297 and A370 Ussuri part of the transcontinental road connection from Moscow to Vladivostok and thus the AH6 in the Asian highway network.

The road was renumbered R255 in 2010. Previously, she had the number M53, which can be used until 31 December 2017 as an alternative.
