2013 M83 produced the soundtrack to Joseph Kosinski's sci-fi film Oblivion. Featuring the single of the same was done for Oblivion by Susanne Sundfør.

Style

The two founding members came from the style of the rock and decided with the formation of M83 to get into the electronic scene. Although the two musicians rely heavily on the use of synthesizers, they take both in the structure of their pieces, as well as in the design of their videos substantial loans to the 70s. With the use of distorted guitar tracks and text that is spoken loudly about the instrumentals, M83 create a sound reminiscent of bands like My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive and Cocteau Twins.
