Ma'ale Amos

Maale Amos (Hebrew: מעלה עמוס ) is an Israeli settlement in the West Bank with 319 inhabitants ( 2004).

In 1994, Maale Amos 388 inhabitants. The settlement was founded in 1981 and is located in Gush Etzion region, south of the Palestinian village of Kisan and the Israeli military base Iwei ha - Nachal, about 14 kilometers away from the " green line ". In 1988, thirty houses destroyed in Kisan and for the expansion of Israeli settlement Maale Amos land of the village was gradually expropriated.

Most residents of Maale Amos are Orthodox Jews who immigrated from the United States.
