Ma Kai

Ma Kai (Chinese马凯/马凯, Pinyin Mǎ Kǎi; * June 1946 in Jinshan, Shanghai, People's Republic of China) was elected as one of four Vice Premiers of the People's Republic of China in 2013 by the National People's Congress. Previously, in 2003, Ma Kai was promoted to head of the National Development and Reform Commission. In 2008 he was appointed Vice-Minister to monitor the planning ministries with the task.

Ma Kai is a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, which he joined in 1965 since 2002. Since 2012 he is also part of the central leadership circle of China, the Politburo of the Communist Party of China.

Life

Ma Kai was born in Shanghai and studied Political Economy at the Chinese People's University in Beijing.

Reference to Germany

Ma Kai visited in 2010 during a trip to Germany, the Angel House in Wuppertal. There he was inspired by Museumsdirekror Eberhard Illner four hours on the entrepreneur and communist philosopher Friedrich Engels present. During this visit, he said the museum to a statue of the angel. In 2014 the city fathers a four-meter high bronze statue of Engels was presented., Designed by Zeng Chenggang statue to be erected in April 2014.
