Ma Perkins

Ma Perkins was an American soap opera that was broadcast from 1933 to 1960 on the radio. A total of 7065 episodes of the series have been sent.

The entertainment series was produced by Frank and Anne Hummert. Among the authors included, among others, Robert Hardy Andrews and Orvin Tovrov. The first episode of Ma Perkins was aired on WLW from Cincinnati on August 14, 1933. On 4 December the same year the soap opera moved to the NBC Red Network.

The story takes place in a town in the south of the U.S. with 4000 inhabitants, in the Ma Perkins is a small shop for handicraft goods and all kinds of junk ( " lumber yard ") operates. The main role was played by Virginia Payne.
