Maagoe Peak

Maagoe Peak is a 1850 m high mountain at the northern end of the Gifford peaks in the West Antarctic Heritage Range.

The mountain was mapped by the United States Geological Survey as part of the compilation of Ellsworthgebirges in the years 1961-1966 through site surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names Maagoe peak named after the ionospheric researchers Steffen Maagoe, in 1964 on the American research station worked Eights station.
