The Maba (proper name: bora / bura Maban ) belongs to the group named after him Maba - languages within the branch of the Nilo-Saharan language family ostsudanischen. It is spoken by about 250,000 people in eastern Chad ( Wadai and Biltine ).
The relatives of the people of the Maba are mostly followers of Islam.
Another important language in the Maba group is the Masalit.
