Macello ( Masel Piedmontese ) is a municipality with 1244 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Turin (TO ), Region Piedmont, located about 30 km southwest of Turin.

Patron saint of the village is St. Mary Magdalene.


The town is near the mouth of the Chisone in the Pellice, a tributary of the Po, at an altitude of 301 m above sea level.

The municipality covers an area of 14 km ².

The neighboring communities are the town of Pinerolo ( in the northwest) and Buriasco, Vigone, Garzigliana and Cavour.
