Macheren ( German: creators ) is a commune with 2909 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. Carling belongs to Arrondissement Forbach and the District of Saint -Avold -2.

To Macheren include the districts Petit- Ebersviller, Lenz Vill and Moulin -Neuf.

Macheren located in the north of Lorraine, immediately east of Saint- Avold.

History

Macheren was first mentioned in 1121 as Machera. Petit- Ebersviller was first mentioned in 1220 as Ebersswilre.
