Maciej Åšliwowski

Maciej Śliwowski ( born January 10, 1967 in Warsaw ) is a retired Polish footballer.

Association

Maciej Śliwowski began his professional career in 1985 at the Polish tradition FKS Stal Mielec club. In the 1980s, he was regarded in Poland as one of the greatest talents. In Mielec he played until 1990 before moving to the Bundesliga for VfL Bochum. Here he could not convince, however, and came to no single application. In 1991 he returned to Poland to Zagłębie Lubin and was back to its former strength. With his skills, he persuaded the leaders of Legia Warsaw and moved in 1992 to the capital. In his first season he scored 24 goals for Legia in 33 games. At the beginning of the 1993/94 season Śliwowski moved to Austria for SK Rapid Wien. In 1995, he brought with Rapid Austrian Cup and 1996 the Austrian Championship. 1996 he moved to FC Tirol Innsbruck. Then he played one season for VfB Admira Wacker Mödling and SV Ried. His active career he was then from 1999 to 2000 at FC Sankt Pölten and Lower Austria SV finish the dog home. Overall, it brought Maciej Śliwowski to 165 games and 61 goals in the Polish Ekstraklasa and 159 games and 37 goals in the Austrian Bundesliga.

National

For the Polish national football team from 1989 to 1993, he completed a total of nine games.
