Maciej Szczęsny

Maciej Szczęsny ( born June 28, 1965 in Warsaw, Poland ) is a former Polish football player.

Career

Club career

Maciej Szczęsny learned to play football at Gwardia Warszawa in the Polish capital. Here he played from 1983 to 1987 in the second league. In 1987 he then moved to the Polish top club Legia Warszawa. Here he played from 1987 to 1996 and won in this time with Legia two times the Polish Championship three times and the Polish Cup. In 1996 he moved to Widzew Łódź. Even with Widzew he won a times the Polish Championship. In 1998 he left the club in the direction of Polonia Warszawa.

Even with Polonia him his success remained faithful. He won the Polish Cup and Polish Supercup. From 2001 to 2002 he played for Wisła Kraków. Here he won for the fifth time the Polish Championship and the Polish League Cup. With Legia Warszawa and Łódź Widzew Szczęsny played in the Champions League.
