Maciej Terlecki

Maciej Terlecki ( born March 9, 1977 in Pruszków, Poland ) is a former Polish football player.

Club career

Terlecki comes from the youth department of Polonia Warszawa. After the U16 European Championships he won with Poland in 1993, the Belgian giants RSC Anderlecht noticed him and signed him. There he stood from 1993 to 1995 under contract. During this time, however, he came to no single use in the Jupiler League. After his return to Poland in 1995, he played in eleven different clubs of the first, second and third league. 2008 ended Maciej Terlecki, at the age of only 31 years, his active career. Overall, he completed two hundred games in Polish Ekstraklasa, scoring eighteen goals.

National

He played only once in the Polish national football team and that on 19 June 1999 in Bangkok against New Zealand (0-0 ).

His father Stanisław Terlecki was a professional football player in Gwardia Warszawa, Łódzki KS, Golden Bay Earthquakes, New York Cosmos, Legia Warszawa and Polonia Warszawa. He graduated 1976-1980 29 caps for Poland, scoring seven goals. His younger brother Stanisław Terlecki Junior is currently playing at the Polish first division Łódzki KS.
