Geography

Mackenbach located 13 km north- west of Kaiserslautern. The municipality also includes the dwelling-place Long Felderhof.

History

The town grew up around the year 1000, but was first mentioned only in 1510.

Mackenbach belonged to the late 18th century to the Palatine court stone turning. In 1787 the parish had 47 families and 200 inhabitants.
