Reviews

Michael Ranze in filmdienst: "Faster, higher, stronger: The directors have the Madagascar franchise not only added a third dimension at all, everything is loud, colorful, frenetic and rapid fall. Impress Turbulent chases and amazing circus performances and shy and a little one, given the brilliance and the colors of the images, the rapidity of the action, the rapid changes of location, the spectacularly stunning 3D. The humor and charm of the first two parts are a little taken back in return, mainly due to the economical dose wit lies. The figures only call itself commands to panic or react to the injustice that is waiting at the next corner. The characterological contours that were worked out succinctly in the previous films, blur. In return, the production focuses primarily on the energy and artistry of the story. Even the chase in Monte Carlo with her destructiveness and DuBois ' obsession reminiscent of the absurdity of a Tex Avery. No longer surpass the performance in the circus of London, where the animals burn an incredible artistic legacy fireworks, as if they wanted to surpass the closing ceremony of the Olympics. Almost weightless by measure as here, the figures the space use effectively with dizzying jumps and breathtaking trapeze stunts, 3D, plus followed by an agile, wobbling camera as it allows only the animated film - has no equal. "

" In addition to the indestructible " Shrek Madagascar "universe that counts " "franchise to the crown jewels in the history fundus of DreamWorks Animation, ........ wear and tear can be at least the third part, the fastest and atemlosesten of the saga so far, not recognize. "

"If filmmakers and producers explain why her new movie was filmed or converted to 3D, bringing the most nebulous - specious reasoning chains shows that always have one thing in common: The obvious motivation, namely the prospect of simplified money at stimulating is denied categorically. Given visually modest results it is sometimes still the only plausible explanation. With audiences and critics, a certain skepticism has therefore long been developed, particularly when it comes to sequels or new editions that suddenly in 3D therefore come ....... Conclusion: Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath socialize with their animated comedy "Madagascar 3" the predecessors and offer him the simple motto for this flashy movie candy is " more, more, more ." -. , all in 3D and rapid as possible bunt "

"So the usual entertaining mass entertainment for underage audiences with jokes from the time machine and brutal slapstick off the assembly line. In " Madasgacar 3" everything is predictable: The animations are top notch and the myriad action sequences serve only the economic factor called 3 -D effect. "

" " Madagascar 3 " shows the kalauernde fauna at the end of their possibilities. Everything what else survived this type of film is missing, in Madagascar: visual invention, and original over-subscription; of heart and feelings we do not want to talk first. How can I increase contrast ...... well this film series? "Madagascar 3" shows the animal force, but especially their makers, almost at the end of their rope. "
