Madeleine Bordallo

Madeleine Bordallo ( born May 31, 1933, Graceville, Minnesota) is an American politician of the Democratic Party. Since January 2003 she has been the official, but non-voting delegates of "organized nichtinkorporierten territory of Guam " (organized unincorporated Territory of Guam) in the U.S. House of Representatives. Except Guam are four other territories of the United States House of Representatives by a non-voting delegates represented (as of 2011 ). These five delegates may have the right to vote in committee meetings, but not vote in the plenary of the House of Representatives.

Bordallo was formerly been a member of the Legislature of Guam ( Legislature of Guam, Liheslaturan Guåhan ), then ran unsuccessfully for governor in 1990 and was from 1995 to 2002 Deputy Governor. She is the first woman to represent Guam in the U.S. Congress.

My future husband, Ricardo Bordallo, was from 1975 to 1979 and from 1983 to 1987 Governor of Guam.
