Madeleine Sandig

Madeleine Sand ( born August 12, 1983 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a former German cyclist.

In 1990, at the age of seven, Madeleine Sandy started cycling; she drives both on the track and on the road. 2003 and 2004, she was Vice - European Champion ( junior ) in the individual time trial on the road, finally in 2005 European Champion ( junior ).

2006 Madeleine Sand German Championship title in the points race on the track. In 2009 she won with her team from the Equipe Nürnberger the team time trial at the Tour de l' Aude. In 2010 she was again German champion in the points race on the track as well as third in the individual pursuit and German Champion in mountain bike races.

At the 2012 Olympic Games in London Madeleine Sandy was a substitute rider for the team pursuit, but did not play. Although she had all the qualifications in the run successfully denied her the multiple world champion Judith Arndt was brought forward at the games. In November 2012 Sandy also explained, disappointed by this decision their retirement from cycling.
