Madeleine West

Madeleine West ( born July 26, 1979 in Bondi Beach, Sydney, New South Wales as Melanie Weston ) is an Australian actress.

Life and career

Madeleine West was born in July 1979 in Bondi Beach, a suburb of Sydney, in the Australian state of New South Wales as Melanie Weston. She began acting at an early age from their parents and their friends. In 1992, she joined the New South Wales Talented Child Drama Ensemble at and decided to postpone her studies in law indefinitely and instead focus on her acting career. Subsequently, she appeared in several plays and got her first role in 2000 as Dione Bliss in the Australian soap opera Neighbours. There she was to be seen until 2003 in more than 400 episodes. After her departure from the show she starred in the television movies Big Reef and Hercules 2004 and 2005. After a year break, West made ​​her screen debut in the film The Condemned. In 2007 she was also in three episodes of the U.S. series The Starter Wife - to see Back to the Beginning. From 2007 to 2010 she played the role of Mel in the drama series Satisfaction, for which she was nominated for a Logie Award in the category Best Actress in 2009 in 30 episodes. Madeleine West is married to the chef Shannon Bennett since 2001. Together they have one daughter ( * 2005) and a son (* 2008).
