Maden is a town and capital of the eponymous district in the Turkish province of Elazig. The county maggots located in the south of the province, bordering the province of Diyarbakir. The city has 5,016 maggots and the entire district 12,360 inhabitants ( 2012). The city got its name from the rich metal deposits in the area ( maggots = metal, mineral bearing).
