Madge Evans

Madge Evans ( born July 1, 1909 in New York, New York, † April 26, 1981 in Oakland, New Jersey) was an American actress of the late silent movies and talkies.

Biography

Madge Evans initially experienced a very successful career as a child star in the silent film era. In 1924 she retired from the screen to complete their education. She came back in 1931 with a contract with MGM and played in the next few years a variety of roles, usually as young Naive. She was repeatedly partner of Ramon Novarro, as in the huddle and Son of India and formed with Robert Montgomery a popular team in romantic comedies. The highlight of their popularity reached Madge Evans 1933, when it was used in eight productions. Madge Evans retired in 1938 from the canvas back and played in the subsequent years some time theater on different stages. In 1943, she ended her active career a second time.

She was married from 1938 until her death with playwright Sidney Kingsley.
