Madison Avenue

The Madison Avenue is a street in New York City.

It starts at Madison Square in Manhattan, and like the place after James Madison, the fourth President of the United States named. From Madison Square from it runs in a northerly direction to the Madison Avenue Bridge. It is located between the streets running parallel to Park Avenue and Fifth Avenue.

The Madison Avenue is considered relatively expensive shopping street. There are antique shops, fashion boutiques, jewelers and shoe shops to her. In addition a density of art galleries, which is comparable to SoHo and 57th Street.

Along the Madison Avenue are also various advertising agencies have established. From 59th Street south it is dominated by office buildings.
