Madison Monsters

The Madison Monsters were an American ice hockey team from Madison, Wisconsin. The team played from 1995 to 1999 in the Colonial Hockey League (from 1997 United Hockey League).

History

The team was founded in 1995 as a franchise of the Colonial Hockey League. In their first three seasons, the Madison Monsters each reached the first round of the playoffs to the Colonial Cup. In this they failed successively to the Thunder Bay Senators whose succession Team Thunder Bay Thunder Cats and future champion Quad City Mallards.

Following the 1998/99 season in which the team had missed the playoffs for the first time, the franchise has been to Knoxville, Tennessee, resettled, where it subsequently participated under the name Knoxville Speed ​​of the game operation of the United Hockey League.
