Madison Township is one of thirteen townships of Butler County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in 2000 8611 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

Madison Township is located in the northeast of Butler County in southwestern Ohio and bordered clockwise to the townships: German Township, Montgomery County, Franklin Township, Warren County, Lemon Township, Liberty Township, Fairfield Township, St. Clair Township, Wayne Township and Free Township in Preble County.

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk ( responsible for finance and budget), which is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
