Madison Township is one of 18 townships of Columbiana County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in 2000 3406 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

Madison Township is located in the central south-east of Columbiana County in northeastern Ohio and bordered clockwise to the townships: Elkrun Township, Middleton Township, St. Clair Township, Liverpool Township, Yellow Creek Township, Washington Township, Wayne Township and Center Township.

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk ( responsible for finance and budget), which is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
