Madrid Central Mosque

The central mosque Madrid (Spanish Mezquita Central de Madrid), also known as Abu -Bakr Mosque ( Mezquita Abu -Bakr, named after the followers of Mohammed ), located on the road Anastasio Herrero in the quarter Cuatro Caminos in Madrid's Tetuan.

History

Designed by the architect Juan Mora Urbano, the building office of the Unión de Comunidades Islámicas de España ( Union of Islamic Communities in Spain ) and the Islamic Community of Madrid. The mosque has a cooperation agreement with the Autonomous Community of Madrid and with Spain by the Islamic Commission of Spain.

Description

The building is spread over four floors and features a prayer room and offices, a daycare, a school, a library, an auditorium and a retail store. The mosque thus assumes religious, charitable, educational, cultural and social functions and has agreed a deal on the training and deployment of imams with the known in the Islamic world, Al -Azhar University in Cairo.
