Mads Mensah Larsen

Mads Larsen Mensah (born 12 August 1991 Holbæk ) is a Danish handball player.

Career

Larsen started playing handball at Holbæk Håndbold and moved at the age of 14 years to Himmerlev. About the Station FIF Larsen came to AG Håndbold, with their men's team, he ran aground in the second highest Danish league. As in 2010, the clubs AG merged Håndbold and FCK Håndbold and AG København arose, Larsen was loaned for one season to Nordsjælland Håndbold. He then went for AG København hunting for goals. With AG København he won in the 2011/12 season, the Danish Championship and reached the Final Four of the EHF Champions League. After AG København filed for bankruptcy in the summer of 2012, he joined Aalborg Håndbold. With Aalborg in 2013, he won the Danish championship.

In January 2014 it was announced that he follows his coach Nikolay Bredahl Jacobsen and changes to the 2014/15 season to the German Bundesliga Rhein- Neckar Löwen.

Larsen played for the Danish junior national team, with whom he was U20 European Champion. Since June 2011, the back player belongs to the cadres of the Danish national team, for whom he previously played 31 internationals. With Denmark, he participated in the Men's Handball World Championship Men, 2013, at the Northern Europeans runner-up were. At the European Championships in 2014 in his own country, he was Vice-European Champion.
