Mad
Madura (also Madhura, Madurese or Basa Mathura ) is a spoken on the Indonesian island of Madura, and on some islands in the eastern part of the province of East Java language. Along with the language Kangean Madura is part of the Madurese, a subgroup of the Sundanese languages in the Western Malayo - Polynesian group of the Austronesian family of languages. Madura has traditionally been written in Javanese script, but today is the Latin alphabet common. The number of speakers, although decreasing, estimated at 8-10 million.
The language of Madura is closely related to the ethnicity of the Madurese.
