Mae La Noi District

Amphoe Mae La Noi ( in Thai อำเภอ แม่ลาน้อย ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of Mae Hong Son province, the province Mae Hong Son is located in the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighbouring districts ( from the southwest clockwise): Amphoe Mae Sariang Mae Hong Son province, the Kayah State of Myanmar, Amphoe Khun Yuam turn in Mae Hong Son Province and Amphoe Mae Chaem in the province of Chiang Mai.

Important rivers of the district are the Maenam Yuam ( Yuam River ), the Maenam Mae La Luang ( Mae La Luang River ) and Maenam Mae La Noi ( Mae La Noi river).

History

Mae La Noi was born on February 10, 1967 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established, which consisted at that time of the two Tambon Mae La Noi and Mae La Luang. It the responsibility of Amphoe Mae Sariang was assumed from which the Tambon Mae La Noi had been separated. Mae La Luang Amphoe Khun Yuam originally belonged to. Mae La Noi has been promoted on 21 August 1975 Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Mae La Noi is divided into eight municipalities ( tambon), which further into 69 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

The small town ( thesaban tambon) Mae La Noi ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล แม่ลาน้อย ) consists of parts of the tambon Mae La Noi.
