Mae Suai District

Amphoe Mae Suai ( in Thai: อำเภอ แม่สรวย ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the west of the province of Chiang Rai. The Chiang Rai province is located in the extreme north of the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts are ( from northeast clockwise): Amphoe Mueang Chiang Rai to Mae Lao, Wiang Pa Pao and Phan, Chiang Rai Province, and Phrao, Chai Prakan, Fang and Mae Ai the province of Chiang Mai.

Management

The circle is divided into seven subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 126 villages ( Muban ).

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Mae Suai consists of parts of the tambon same name.
  • Chedi Luang is also made of parts of the tambon same name.

In addition, there are nine " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
