Maecenas-Ehrung

The Maecenas is a tribute by the Working Group of Independent Cultural Institutes eV ( AsKI ) since 1989, his award. The award is presented every two years, starting in 2009 on an annual basis, individuals who have made themselves through their actions in a special way about art and culture in Germany deserves. The selection is made by an independent jury.

With the Maecenas honoring the AsKI the importance of private cultural promotion wants to stay abreast convey their work to the public and encourage new patrons. The Maecenas ceremony is undoped and connected with the presentation of a work of art or an appropriate gift of honor from 2003 with a bronze sculpture by Manfred Sihle -Wissel.
