The Mafadi is a mountain in South Africa, located on the northern border of Lesotho. The border between South Africa and Lesotho passes over its summit.

The Mafadi is 3450 meters high, making it the highest mountain in South Africa, but not in Lesotho. It is located in the central region of the Drakensberg. As part of the uKhahlamba -Drakensberg Park, a South African national park, it belongs since 2000 to the protected natural monuments of the World Heritage List of the UN.

Routes to the summit

The Mafadi is developed for tourism. Mountain hikes are usually carried out from base camp Injasuthi (on the South African side ) from about Marble Bath and Leslie 's Pass to the summit, which consists of an approximately 20 -meter high stone tower. The tours last between three and four days.
