The Magalloway River is a right tributary of the Androscoggin River in the U.S. states of Maine and New Hampshire.

River

The Magalloway River is formed at the confluence of West Branch and East Branch Third Magalloway River in northwestern Maine. From there it flows a short distance to the east, but then turns to the south and reserves its course over its entire route, taking away a maximum of 10 km from the running in a north-south direction border with New Hampshire. The Magalloway River takes on his way to the Second South East Branch and later the First East Branch on the left side. Then it flows through the Parmachenee Lake to Lake open for further 5 km into the northern end of the Aziscohos. This he relies on the southeast shore below the dam. Now the Maine State Route 16 runs along the river. The Magalloway River crossing further downstream the border into New Hampshire. The Dead Diamond River flows right side into the river. Finally, the Magalloway River empties into the Androscoggin River - immediately after its discharge from the Umbagog Lake. The Magalloway River has a length of about 80 km.

Leisure

The Magalloway River is visited by whitewater canoeists and kayakers. The river portion of the Magalloway River below the Azicohos Lake and the Diamond River Gorge at the bottom of Dead Diamond River are worthwhile goals.

Hydropower plants

Below the Azicohos Dam operates Brookfield Renewable hydroelectric power plant with a 7 MW turbine.
