Maggie Teyte
Teyte studied in Paris with Jean de Reszke and there had their debut in 1906. After that, she changed her last name in Teyte - to pronunciation of its name by the French spelling adapt.
In particular, the soprano made a name for herself as an interpreter of French composers of the late 19th and the 20th century ( Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Reynaldo Hahn, Henri Duparc, Ernest Chausson, among others ).
Honors
1958 Queen Elizabeth II awarded her its musical merits because the title of Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
