Maghen Abraham Synagogue

The stomach Abraham Synagogue (Arabic كنيس ماغين أبراهام - " Kanis Mā'ghīn Abrā'hām "; Hebrew בית הכנסת מגן אברהם - " Beth HaKenesset stomach Abraham " ) - built in 1925 - is the oldest existing synagogue in the Lebanese capital Beirut.

The church is located in the former Jewish quarter of Wadi al - Yahoud, which is now called the Wadi Abu Jamil. The district was abandoned during the Lebanese Civil War, when the PLO under Yasser Arafat attacked the district. In May 2009 the company began the renovation of the synagogue and completed the work in 2010.
