Magland

Magland is a municipality with 3174 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ), in Haute -Savoie. Thanks to their monopoly on the copper and silver processing emigrated since 1726 many residents as boilermakers in Switzerland and Germany. With these connections could later establish the watch industry.

The municipality has a station on the rail line from La Roche- sur -Foron -Saint -Gervais.

Neighboring communities of Magland are Sallanches in the south, Nancy- sur -Cluses in the northwest.
