Magliano Sabina

Magliano Sabina is a town with 3890 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Rieti in the Italian region of Lazio.

Geography

Magliano is located 69 km north of Rome, 55 km west of Rieti, and 38 km southwest of Terni. It is located in the Sabine mountains above the valley of the Tiber River on the border with Umbria. The municipal area extends from the Tiber to the hills of the Sabina over a height difference of 31-277 m slm

The municipality is located in the seismic zone 2 (medium endangered).

The municipality consists of the villages Beradelli, Chiorano, Colle Micotti Foglia Frangellini and Madonna degli Angeli.

The neighboring municipalities are Calvi dell 'Umbria (TR ), Civita Castellana (VT), Colle Vecchio, Gallese (VT), Montebuono, places (VT) and Otricoli (TR ).

Traffic

The community lies with the highway Magliano Sabina on the A1 Autostrada del Sole. The highway is crossed by the Via Flaminia strada Statale 3 (SS 3) here.

The Civita Castellana Station - Magliano on the railway line Florence-Rome is situated 6 km from the center beyond the Ponte Felice over the Tiber.

Policy

Alfredo Graziani ( center-right Citizens' List Insieme per Magliano ) was elected in June 2009 for the mayor. This Magliano is no longer ruled for the first time since the Second World War from the left.
