Magne Johansen

Magne Johansen ( born January 18, 1965 in Trondheim ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper.

On March 1, 1987 Johansen jumped in Lahti for the first time in the Ski Jumping World Cup. On the large hill he was able to win two World Cup points with 14th place for the first time. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1989 on the large hill in Lahti, he won the team competition, together with Clas Brede Brathen, Ole Gunnar Fidjestøl and Jon Inge Kjørum the silver medal. In the Ski Flying World Championships 1990 in Vikersund Johansen reached the 39th place.

At the 1992 Winter Olympic Games in Albertville Johansen jumped on the normal hill on the 49th and on the large hill on the 18th Place. In the team competition, he reached the 7th place together with Espen Bredesen, Rune Olijnyk and Lasse Ottesen. Shortly after the games he won in his home Trondheim at the Norwegian Championships, the silver medal on the large hill and had only beaten Lasse Ottesen it. In the Ski Flying World Championships 1992 in Harrachov Johansen flew on 22 March 1992 to the 13th Place. At the end of the World Cup season 1991/92 he took the 26th place, the best result of his career in the overall World Cup standings.

In the season 1992/93 he was on his success not able to go and remained successful and no points. During the season, he raced for the first time in the Continental Cup (COC ). However, He was able to achieve in this series no more success, finishing then in 1998 at the age of 33 years, his active ski jumping career.
