Magnificent Brute is an American black and white film from the year 1936. It was produced and directed by John Blystone by Edmund Grainger and Charles R. Rogers at Universal Pictures. The U.S. premiere took place on 11 October 1936. In German-speaking countries, the film was listed in 1937 under the name Brutal in Austria. He is also known under the name Focus on Blonde.

Action

Big Steve Andrews begins a new job in Aurora steelworks. He lives in Blossom Finley and her ten- year-old son Pete. Big falls in love with Della Lane, the girlfriend of his rival Bill Morgan. Blossom is secretly in love with Big, and is not pleased that Bill is leaving for Big Della. Big draws from Blossoms from pension to live closer to the steel mill and Della. As Big on a hype a collection for Mrs. Howard, the widow of a steel worker makes, komen $ 400 together. Morgan and Della persuade Big at the amusement park against a wrestler to compete. Big asks Della, to 400 dollars on him. These are the money but to Morgan, who puts it on Bigs opponents. Big is losing the battle and Morgan makes off with his win. Due to a concussion Big can not remember to have Della given the money, and is alleged to have stolen it. Della turns out to be superficial and returns to Morgan. As Blossom learns what has happened, they are big $ 400 of their own money and tells him about the fraud. Big enforces a confession of Morgan and can thus weaken the weighing on him reproach. In the end he and Blossom marry.
