Magnús Bergs

Magnús - Helgi Bergs ( born August 27, 1956) is a former Icelandic football player.

Career

Magnús Berg began his career with Valur Reykjavík before he moved abroad in 1980. His first stop was this the German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. Here, however, he could not prevail, and came to a total of only two appearances in the league. After two years in Dortmund, he moved in 1982 to the then Belgian first division club KSK Tongeren. After the descent of the club he joined in 1983 the Spanish traditional club Racing Santander in the Segunda División to. After the rise of Santander in 1984 Magnús returned to Germany, where he played for Eintracht Braunschweig. Here, however, he was only a substitute again and left the club after six inserts in the Bundesliga and the DFB Cup match during the 1984 / 85th Magnús returned to Iceland, where he end his football career.

Magnús was a total of 16 times in the Islands national football team to use, but he scored two goals.
