Magnus Malan

General Magnus André De Merindol Malan ( born January 30, 1930 in Pretoria, South Africa, † 18 July 2011) was a South African military. He was from 1980 to 1991 Minister of Defence of the Republic of South Africa under apartheid president PW Botha. Previously, he was Chief of the Army and then the armed forces of South Africa.
