Magstatt-le-Haut

Magstatt -le-Haut (German Obermagstatt ) is a commune with 274 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the canton of Sierentz and the Communauté de communes community association du Pays de Sierentz.

History

Magstatt -le-Haut was initially part of the reign of Altkirch, then the top of soldiers and formed with Geispitzen, Kœtzingue, Rantzwiller and Waltenheim a greater community. The village church was to 1820 assigned to the neighboring village Magstatt -le- Bas. Some houses from the 19th century have been preserved.
