Mahamadou Danda

Mahamadou Danda ( born July 25, 1951 in Tahoua, then French West Africa ) is a Nigerien politician. He was Prime Minister of Niger from 2010 to 2011.

Life

Mahamadou Danda attended schools in his native town of Tahoua and then studied general administration at the École nationale d'administration in Niamey. In the 1970s he worked for the military regime under Seyni Kountché. He worked in 1973 in the administration of the arrondissements Keita and 1974 in the administration of the arrondissements Mirriah. From 1977 to 1978 he was deputy prefect of the department of Niamey and 1983-1987 Sub-Prefect of the arrondissement Filingue.

Prime Minister Hamid Algabid appointed him on 20 November 1987 as Minister for Livestock and water management in the government. He held until the end of the government Hamid Algabids on July 15, 1988 this office. He now studied Regional Planning and Regional Development, first from 1989 to 1990 at the Institute pour le Développement en Afrique Panafricain de l' Ouest ( IPDAO ) in Ouagadougou, and from 1991 to 1993 at the University of Laval in Quebec City. Mahamadou Danda addition worked as a secretary of the party MNSD - Nassara. From 1996 to 1997 he studied political science at the University of Montesquieu Bordeaux IV He was subsequently Technical Advisor to the Prime Minister's office since 1997, Ibrahim Hassane Mayaki. After the coup by Daouda Malam Mahamadou Danda Wanké was brought in as Minister for Sport, Culture and Communication and as a government spokesman in the transitional government on 19 April 1999, from which he retired again on 23 December 1999. For the next ten years, Mahamadou Danda withdrew from active politics and worked as a political adviser to the Canadian Embassy in Niamey. In 2004 he received his doctorate in Political Science IV at the University of Montesquieu Bordeaux

On February 18, 2010 Salou Djibo put the Nigerien President Mamadou Tandja from a coup. The non-party Mahamadou Danda was considered a neutral political figure and was appointed by decision of the Supreme Council for the Restoration of Democracy on 23 February 2010 Prime Minister of the transitional government until the next election. After the presidential elections in 2011, the Niger, Mahamadou Issoufou elected President appointed 7 April 2011 Brigi Rafini to Mahamadou Dandas successor.
