Mahamrityunjaya Mantra
The Mahamrityunjaya Mantra ( महामृत्युंजय मंत्र, Mahāmṛtyuṃjaya Mantra " great death besiegendes mantra " ), also called Tryambakam Mantra is a verse from the Rigveda. It is aimed at Tryambaka the " three-eyed god," a speech for Rudra, who is later identified with Shiva. The verse is also mentioned in the Yajur Veda.
Along with the Gayatri ( mantra), it is one of the most famous mantra of Hinduism.
