Mahanakorn University of Technology

The Mahanakorn University of Technology ( Thai มหาวิทยาลัย เทคโนโลยี มหานคร, MUT ) is a private university in Bangkok's Nong Chok district, Thailand.


The university was opened in Nong Chok on 27 February 1990 as Mahanakorn College, founding father was Prof. Dr. Sitthichai Pookaiyaudom. Sitthichai was previously Dean at King Mongkut 's Institute of Technology Lat Krabang. The goal was to train because of the extreme shortage of engineers and the rapid increase in technological development in Thailand, students of engineering. Because of the success both in education and in research, the College has been named the new name Mahanakorn University of Technology to full university status in no time. The university is the first and only in Thailand, which has developed its own experimental Edbeobachtungs and amateur radio satellite ( TMSAT ).
