Mahapanya Vidayalai

Mahapanya Vidayalai College ( MPV) ( Thai มหา ปัญญา วิทยาลัย, High school of wisdom ) is an international Buddhist school in Hat Yai, Songkhla Province, Southern Thailand.


The school was founded in 2002 by the Patriarch of the upper Anamikaya, His Holiness OOU Joo Heng, with the gracious support of His Holiness Somdet Phrabuddhacaya, the chief patriarch of the Theravada Buddhists.


Mahapanya Vidayalai is affiliated to the Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University Institute. The MPV represents a remarkable collaboration and unity between the schools of the Mahayana and Theravada Buddhism in Thailand. Currently a high school education as well as an international bachelor's degree program in Buddhist teaching is offered, especially Mahayana Buddhism. Director of the MPV is Phrakru Biboonpariyatisunthorn, organizational and commercial management, Ms. Chatkaew Gajaseni.


Mahapanya Vidayalai College is located in Hat Yai opposite the campus of Prince of Songkhla University. The Bodhisattva Kshitigarbha statue and the Nine - stairs Peace Pagoda are the landmarks of Mahapanya Vidayalai College and can be seen from all over the city.
