Background

Kapurush and Mahapurush were published on 7 May 1965 at the composite, but can also be seen separately, as they are each acting autonomously. The common element of the films is rationality as motivation for action. In both films, the protagonists' actions are rational - in Kapurush to Amitabha once could financially afford no relationship and decided against Karuna, now the really disgruntled Karuna remains despite still present sense of Amitabha in her husband; in Mahapurush an impostor is unmasked to stop the pervasive irrationality. Although in both films rationality is the motivation arises in the comparison, the extent to which this can be a valid criterion for action. The question remains open for the viewer.

Mahapurush is a parody of the Guru in India widespread cult.
