Mahmoud Namjoo

Mahmoud Namdjou ( born September 22, 1918 in Rasht, † 21 January 1990 Persian محمود نامجو ) is an Iranian weightlifter and participants at the Summer Olympic Games in London in 1948, in Helsinki in 1952 and 1956 in Melbourne.

Career

Mahmoud Namdjou began at the age of 20 years with the weight lifting and participated from 1939 to Iran's national competitions. As a result of the war and the postwar period, he had to wait until his 30th birthday before he could take part in London 1948 1948 in his first international championships, the Olympic Games. Where he took the 5th place in the " Bantamweight (56 kg) ."
