Mahou-San Miguel Group

Mahou is a Spanish brewery headquartered in Madrid, which belongs to the Spanish group Mahou San Miguel.

History

Under the company name Hijos de Casimiro Mahou (translated: Children of Casimiro Mahou ) was founded in 1890, a society for the production of beer and ice in Madrid, and in 1891 was brewed in the street Amaniel beer under the name Mahou in the trade.

In 1962 a new brewery in the Paseo Imperial in Madrid was completed; The old brewery was closed in 1964.

In 1969, the beer brand Mahou Cinco Estrellas on the market; followed in 1980 and the Mahou Negra 2008 Mahou Premium Light.

In November 2000, merged Mahou and the other Spanish national brewer San Miguel to the company group Mahou San Miguel.
