Maicosuel ( born June 16, 1986 Cosmópolis, São Paulo; actually Maicosuel Reginaldo de Matos ) is a Brazilian footballer.

Career

Maicosuel played in the Youth for Guarani FC and AA Internacional. He began his career in 2001 with Clube Atlético Sorocaba. In 2005 he moved to Paraná Clube, whom he left in January 2007 for Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte to join. Cruzeiro he was awarded in 2008 to Palmeiras São Paulo and Botafogo FR 2009. His breakthrough came this season at Botafogo: with its twelve gates, scored in 18 games, he helped the club to the Regional Championship. He was voted the best left midfielder and the best player of the state championship in Rio de Janeiro in 2009 and was top scorer.

For the 2009/10 season Maicosuel moved to German Bundesliga club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, in which he signed a contract until 2014. His first competitive goal he scored in the 2-0 victory over top new ground in the first round of the DFB Cup. After one season he left Hoffenheim and changed in July 2010 back to Botafogo FR.

Since the summer of 2012 Maicosule is the Italian first division club Udinese Calcio under contract.
