Maiji District

The municipality Maiji (Chinese麦 积 区, pinyin Maiji Qū ) in Gansu province belongs to the administrative area of the prefecture-level city of Tianshui. It has an area of 3,452 square kilometers and has about 580,000 inhabitants ( 2004). 2004, the district Beidao (麦 积 区) has been renamed to its present name Maiji.
