Course

The Mailinger Bach arises as Retz digging in Eitensheim northwest of Ingolstadt. It crosses the B 13 and flows strongly straightened southeast to Gaimersheim. From there to Oberhaunstadt he partially supports the name Haunstädter Bach. In Unterhaunstadt opens the coming of Buxheim Augraben. From here, it bears the name Mailinger Bach.

In the course passes under the creek Mailinger the A 9, mailing happens and takes in large Mehring the Köschinger Bach on. He flowed in its natural state in the Danube. After the construction of the barrage Vohburg, he had to be diverted past this and now flows about three miles further, opposite the mouth of the pair into the Danube.
